Collections---Teach you how to easily deal with several common problems of paint!

Paint is an indispensable part of the painting process, which is prone to some thorny problems and may also affect the subsequent construction. Therefore, in order to ensure the beauty of the coating effect, it is necessary to make relevant preparations. The following Xiaohai analyzes several common problems of paint for everyone, and tells you how to deal with it. Come and take a look!

  1. Peeling paint

It may be that the surface is too smooth, and the new paint will not stick to the surface. Or maybe the wood is rotten or the metal has rust spots, or it's peeling due to poor paint quality. Small areas of paint peeling can be sanded with fine gauze paper, then putty, primed, and repainted. Large areas of peeling must be completely stripped off and repainted.

  2. Paint crack

In this case, the paint is mostly removed with a chemical paint remover or a hot air spray gun, and then repainted. If the fracture range is not large, then you can use a sanding block or wet and dry sandpaper to soak in water to grind off the broken paint. After the surface is polished and smooth, apply putty, apply primer, and repaint.

  3. Paint film wrinkling

Usually caused by a second coat of paint before the first coat is dry. At this time, the solvent in the lower coat will affect the upper coat, causing it to wrinkle. In this case, chemical mercury removers or heat can be used to remove the wrinkled paint film and repaint. Remember, you must wait for the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.

  4. Moldy discoloration

This problem mostly occurs on wet paint surfaces, such as water vapor condensation on glass and metal surfaces that often produces brown-black stains. At this time, use a fungicide and treat the moldy part according to the instructions in the manual. After the mildew is removed, clean the surface and then repaint it.

  5. Tarnish

The reason is that the primer is not applied, or the primer and the inner paint are directly applied with the glossy paint. As a result, the glossy paint is absorbed by the wood and loses its luster. The poor quality of some varnishes is also a reason. Grind off the old paint with wet and dry sandpaper, brush off the sanding dust, wipe the surface with a clean damp cloth, and then repaint the top paint after it is dry. Special attention should be paid to the fact that the paint film may lose its luster after being painted in a very low temperature environment.

  6. Stains

There are many reasons for stains on painted surfaces. For example: the water in the paint dissolves the material on the wall and rusts the paint surface, the wall surface rubbed with steel wool will produce rust spots, and the leakage of hidden pipes in the wall will cause stains. In order to prevent stains, you can first apply a layer of primer containing aluminum powder. If there are stains, you can first remove the latex paint on the stains, brush the primer containing aluminum powder, and then repaint.
