The difference between one-component and two-component waterborne wood paints

In our general concept, two-component waterborne wood coatings are superior to one-component waterborne wood coatings. In the era of rapid development of science and technology, single-component waterborne wood paint is a difficulty for waterborne paint manufacturers. So what are one-component and two-component?
        One-component waterborne wood paint is a copolymer of acrylic and polyurethane, with high transparency, strong adhesion, delicate paint film feel, high fullness, good film hardness, water and stain resistance, etc., and the comprehensive performance is close to oil-based paint. At present, the application of one-component waterborne wood paint in furniture wood products is very mature, which can fully meet the coating requirements of all furniture.
        Two-component waterborne wood paints are multiphase films, where emulsion particles come into contact with each other to form a tightly packed structure. Two-component waterborne wood coatings have better overall performance than one-component waterborne wood coatings. It is mainly the two-component waterborne wood paint that undergoes a chemical reaction to form a film, which greatly improves the performance of the waterborne paint film. Therefore, the comprehensive performance of the two-component product paint film has been best interpreted, and the performance is more outstanding in water resistance, stain resistance, anti-adhesion, high hardness, scratch resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance and so on. The hardness of the paint film can reach more than 2H. The performance can be compared with the traditional PU oil-based paint.
        One-component water-based paints are ready-to-use, directly applied, and directly film-forming. Two-component waterborne paint is a film-forming substance plus another component of a curing agent, which can be used in the correct proportion. Although the comprehensive performance is better than that of one-component waterborne wood paint, it is more troublesome to apply.
        One-component waterborne paints are suitable for waterborne coatings such as waterborne acrylic and polyurethane to improve the adhesion strength of coatings, and their waterproof, abrasion, washability, scratch resistance and chemical resistance are good. One-component water-based paint dries quickly, is simple to apply, and if you don't want to use it now or haven't used it up, you can seal it and store it and continue to use it next time.
        The solid content of two-component water-based paint is relatively high, and the paint film has high hardness, good flexibility, good fullness and good weather resistance after painting the object. However, the disadvantages are obvious, mainly the construction is inconvenient, the two groups should be mixed, and the mixing ratio is required to be accurate, after the two groups of water-based paint are mixed, it should be used immediately, and it should be used up at one time. Two-component waterborne wood paint dries slowly, which affects adhesion, so the second time the adhesion will be poor.
